This sanding thing is getting old real fast. Is there any type of paint stripper out there so I can get the old paint off instead of having to sand it all off? I realize i would still have to sand after i get the old paint off and that isn't really a problem. Is there anything that is safe on fiberglass? Thanks

just keep sanding i wouldnt recommend the use of paint stripper....bunch of chemicals you just dont need .and it makes more of a mess than sanding does.......sounds wierd but clean up is a lot nicer with sanding ya aint gonna clean up stripper with an air hose

permatex makes a really good paint stipper. its in a blue spray aresol can. andthe label says decal and paint stripper. you can get it at napa. just used it on a big tractor. stipped all the paint in a day. faster than sanding but it does make a bit more of a mess than sanding. I do argee with thong bandit, just keep sanding, the end result will be alot nicer. but just incase you want to do it your way, the permatex stuff works great!

im in the same boat i have 2 hulls. one sj that has been painted 3 times and a blaster that been painted 5 times. if i sand them it wouldnt be straight at the end.
