Parts Refurbisher

Hey everyone,
I haven’t been on the site in a while, but I’m having an issue with my ‘90 superjet 650. I ride it for about 15-20 minutes and then it starts to lose power and if I get on the throttle it really starts to sputter and dies if I don’t pump the throttle. I read a few other threads with guys having similar issue and it says it was the ignition coil. I chased and electrical demon a few years back and basically replaced every part in the e-box. And it’s been Ol’ reliable for about 4-5 years.

Anyway, I remember there was a company you could send electrical parts to and they would test it and rebuilt it if needed with new lead wires. Anybody know who does it or if the problem sounds like the ignition coil? I already tore the carb apart and cleaned it and put new spark plugs and a new battery in it.

Thank you!

-Justin

I was offering those services briefly but stick to manufacturing cable an such now. My products, such as coils, cables, switches, etc are all available through Jetmaniac.

Last time I checked, JSS, (Jetski Solutions) is the OG for rebuilding electrical systems.

Check your compression. pull off your flywheel and make sure there is no rust on you magents and stator pickup etc. Next check your stator outputs. If you replaced everything in ebox it is probably fine and stator is the issue. You can replace the whole thing or just the charge coil.

I'm not sure what the supply chain is looking like these days but Jetmaniac used to have clean used OEM stators available from time to time.
Aftermarket components are available via ebay but the reviews say that the chinese knockoffs are not worth the savings.

The Yamasaki coil is currently back ordered so options are slim. I've been getting pressure to do large batches of reman coils but I'm low on suitable cores and in the middle of packing up and moving. New shop won't be built and useable for a couple months most likely.
