i need a few pictures of how you guys ran your fueling lines on stock dual 44s. whered you "T" the lines...blah blah everything!

did you drill the extra pulse line fitting?

i still run the reserve lines and a primer if that changes anything.

thats all...

thanks

drill and tap the case for the 2nd pulse fitting. T the returns only. Ditch the reserve switch and use for the 2nd pickup.

He's talking about the pickup tubes inside the tank. Usually, the reserve pickup tube is 3-5 inches longer than the regular pickup - by necessity, in order for the reserve feature to work.

If you use both as main pickup tubes to feed individual carburetors, one carb is going to run out of fuel way before the other one, which can lead to a lean seizure of that corresponding jug/piston.

Here is how I am running my lines. 2 t-fittings and 2 straight fittings. 2 lines to the pulse fittings on the cases.

The shorter the better but I don't see how they don't really get much longer. Just make sure that the hose you use can bend w/o crimping, otherwise you may need to mount a small 90degree fitting in line

I got them from Jetskisolutions.com. John did my carbs for me so I don't really remember how much they were. Under $20 I think.

It will be fine, just try and make the line equal length

I run my fuel feed line with a Y to the carbs then the return with a Y back to the tank. I still retain a reserve line and have plenty fuel to the carbs. I drilled the case for the pulse line 1/8" NPT and run a bulb style primer under the hood but it is never needed to start the engine. The only time I may need to pump some fuel in the carbs is when I am floating down the river after a large water ingestion episode and I am trying to get out of the way.

heres my new dual 44 set up. one of the pulse fittings aren't connect. i was waiting for the JB weld around the new pulse fitting to dry.

does it look right? i went with keeping the reserve line. also the primer still needs a "T"
