Pipe/Head Combo for SJ

I have a completely stock 1994 square that im looking to put a pipe and head on. I used the ski mainly for recreation and want more power out of it. I read good things about the Bpipe and ADA head. Is there any others that i should consider? I would like strong power off the bottom end thru the mid to top end. Im not looking for just low end power and want to be able to hold it WOT at times. I want to stay pump gas safe at the moment as well.

You spread a little oring on, place one ADA head on top, then you slap a B Pipe on the side and pour you a little bit of 92 Octane and your all set............

I think the stock head will keep the motor running cool enough. I like 130 deg out of my head and I usually have to restrict the flow on my ADA head to achieve that temp. You will also save yourself a few hundred bucks if you just mill the stocker. Remember "chrome don’t get you home".

Hey mark,

ive read here recently folks talking about measuring the pisser exit temp.

mine is MUCH hotter if I do a long big throttle run, than just zipping around.

when you say you want 130 temps, is that at idle? after a hard run or what?

I like to have the temp at 130 when I am just out messing around. I don't do any wide open runs. It would be a little cooler at idle and lower rpms.

Is there any certain company you guys would recommend for getting my stock head machined? Also is there any other pipes besides the Bpipe worth looking at?

Pretty much any jetski engine builder could shave your head. And no, pretty much nothing compares to the Bpipe. I would go ahead and invest in the girdle head, nothing like protecting your investment. It dosn,t have to be an ADA but they are the cheapest and domes are easy to get.

You would be wise to use an ADA head and FPP "B" pipe either mod or limited..theres a lil more to a head other than just raising compression, correct/propper squish is critical to a hi-perf engine as is the domes cc pocket(area where spark and fuel collect for ignition). ADA heads are bullet proof, reliable and allow for many plumbing options(something the oem head can't really do and no matter what Yamaha cylinders need girdle kits, I have seen tons of oem cylinders crack front & rearward on the intake side but I have yet to personally see an oem cylinder crack that had a decent girdle kit on it..
