SX/SXi/SXi Pro Pipe question...

How many of you are running the Factory pipe with the R and D timing advance.... I read on Factorys site that your not supposed to.... or its not recommened. Whatever. Any body have any issues...

My 98 sxi pro had a factory ltd pipe with MSD enhancer and a r&d timing advance. It ripped. I purchased it set up that way, and never had a problem with it.

It is easy to melt pistons with pump gas and an ignition advance plate. Its a great mod as long as you never hold it WFO for more than a few seconds. People who get away with it are jetted rich of peak.

the retard module will prevent the piston issue at peak rpm. I would not run advance and an enhancer with out the retard module.

only recommend the retard module when using ignition enhancer and timining plate, and only needed when running WOT runs! not needed if you ride surf! I got a retard module if anybody needs one!
