Plug Readings w/Pics?

Hi, I have a Yamaha 1100 (wave venture). I built the motor from the crank up. The only thing it has other than stock is boyesen reeds. I put about five hrs. on the motor now and it runs excellent.

I'm running all stock jets and set low and hi needles to service manual spec plus a 1/4 turn out.

After last time out ran 10 gallons thru it at mid to full throttle most of the time.

I'm running quick silver syn blend at 40:1

Here are pics of the plugs... I want to make sure I'm not on the path to burning this thing up.

The plugs are lined up left to right 1-2-3. and when I'm holding them up it's first thru third.

Let me know what you think - too lean, too rich or just right?

Notice the center plug.

Yes.

And that reminds me, do I really need to run those things? They seem like a serious restriction? However, I do realize that the carbs are jetted from the factory with those in place, so...

But for now I'm just looking for opinions on how the plugs look with everything stock.

We use to have a WaveBlaster2, Plugs looked like those all the time. Never got a brown color on the center section.........

On a 701, I would say lean......... but cannot say on those.
