Rodney Dangerfield said his pole was too long. I can relate.

So, I got out the trusty dremel and had my way with his pole. Wait...that didn't come out right.

i love pole jobs :)

whats the difference in using that cold-fusion bracket instead of stock bracket? I used rivets the first time around and they all popped out on me on nose stab. I ended up using jb weld and bolts the second time around.

The CF billet base employs double the rivets and a deeper insertion depth than that clunker OEM piece. Deeper insertion is generally more desireable, no?

Also, when using pop rivets on a plastic surface, it's important to have backing washers, or aluminum plate for insurance.

Note: I did have to grind on the Waterdawg pole bracket to clear the pole base.

how much was that cold fusion pole base?and will it fit on a stock bracket? very nice sj btw.looks like thats the lightest possible setup.

Here you go..http://cold-fusion.pinnaclecart.com/control/billet-pole-base/

Cold Fusion makes evrything fit like stock. You may think it's a little pricey, but this pole base is a work of art when you see it up close, and it has the stock location hole to use a pole spring if you want which is important for me. Way to go Carl.

I have never seen one of these. Definitely looks better than the stock base and should be much stronger. Does cold fusion anodize it red or did you have that done yourself?

Cold Fusion anodized it Red for me. They have Black and Silver too.
