I only like to ride the salt if there is a reason to like surf riding, longer cruising, etc. For buoys, flatwater, etc, they are the same but the lake is less harsh on my parts.

i live in MI..... so yeah. lol i rode in salt once this year for the first time. clean up was a pita every night. but if i was closer to the ocean i would be a surf rider

i feel bad for those of you that only ride freshwater.

I've ridden in Salt Water, if there's no clean surf the only difference in the taste and the size of the animals within.

I feel bad for people that have never ridden in crystal clear waters like the Great Lakes or Northern lakes in Wisco, Minnie, and Mich.

I grew up riding in Black Water!!

Lake Michigan is only 20 minutes away from my house, so definitely not salt water. It's nice not to worry about what marine animals you might encounter. Usually I ride inland lakes though.
