I have the Harbor Freight stands in my shop and I wasn't so sure about putting my molds on them, let alone a fully built ski. Flexible like emt conduit only thinner. Excellent for light projects, but too Chinese for anything more. I'd stick to the modded shopping cart for a shop stand, and pvc for the beach.

Interested in this shopping cart idea. Do you have any pics or a detailed description of the cart?

Here's what I threw together from an old Kmart shopping cart. Just had to take the basket off and bend the supports a bit before welding some angle iron on to attach the bunks to.
