650/X-2 Premix gas ( please reply)

Hey guys on my stock x-2 i still have the tank that you put the oil into and another tank for regular gas, how do i take the oil tank out so that all I do is put premix gas in the gas tank all my other skis take premix gas and i want my x-2 like that. How do I do it? Is it hard?

Just don't put oil in that tank and put prefix in. And block off the oil pump lines or get a block off plate

ok and then once i block off the oil pump lines, can i take out the oil tank?

Yupp.

Buy a block off plate. The plate will come with vacuum nipples as well. Add premix to the tank and run the ski to be sure all of the straight gas is out of the lines. Or drain the lines. Then remove the pump lines and tank. You'll need to use the vacuum plug to block off the nipple on the carburetor. You'll either need to leave the oil fill cap on, make a block off plate, or pick one up from the rad dudes.

I would suggest that you premix the gas, run it until the premix gets a chance to run through the carb. Then remove the oil pump and install the block off plate. Doing this will a avoid any engine damage. Think about it, your carb and fuel lines are full of straight gas and it takes a minute or so to run it out. In that time engine damage can occur. Hope this helps.
