Bought one off of Amazon and came in cracked at the base, after returning, the second one that came in had the same problem No more Proks for me. I've had K&N from Amazon for same price on my ski for two years and so far so good. http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/133086-Prok-s-on-Amazon

Not a packaging flaw, box was perfect. one I could see, but two in a row? I was pissed, maybe a bad batch. Either way, Amazon refunded ful amount, so no harm done. I'm sure there might be different models of Proks, maybe these are the cheap ones, don't know. I've had Blowsion tornados come apart on me after a year. The K&N are not as fancy, but have a flat spot on one side for easy fitment, so far so good. I'm sure they will also get shaken apart eventually. Stock boxes are the best...IMO

ive been told through the engine guru grapvine the new k and n is very hard to beat. and very durable

I have been running the K&N Pro Series (Race - No Gauze) with the black rubber tops for almost 10 years now..... Only had one mess up, from motor mounts breaking.

You can find them for 31.00. 59-2042. Believe that the part number. You don't want the tall ones
