Promoting Flatwater Freestyle

The start of the summer generally kicks off with the Pro Wake Board Tour visiting my area (May 22, Acworth GA):

I'm not a huge fan of wakeboarding, but I still attend the event because its something to do.

I'm surprised with the wakes these boats can produce there aren't a couple flatwater freestyle guys traveling around with them showing off their skis and doing flat water tricks.

There is a lot of downtime between wakeboard runs and I bet the crowd would love a "shower" with how hot it gets out there. Or get a double up with a couple wakeboard boats and give em a massive backflip too..

Just some thoughts i had..

Some one needs to talk to the organizer and get a couple of us GA boys to go ride for them.

Well... The event is held at Dallas Landing on Lake Allatoona which is at one end of the lake. Everyone likes to tie up their boats out there and party ALL DAY LONG. I was thinking of renting a pontoon boat and loading the ski onto it and tie up too... I figure with all the boats going back and forth to the event... I'll be out there (trying) to put on a show regardless with all that wake.

Last time I was at the event they were promoting couches... you know the ones with brakes lol... They could use some stand up flare to go with the event. I think it meshes well...

dam fish, i might have to hit that up with ya this year. never paid much attention to it before but sounds interesting.

I might head up that way too. Still need to design a ramp system to get the ski on the pontoon boat easily

I'm sure there is some sort of PVC ramp that can be made that sticks in the water and mounts to the boat. If i had a pontoon boat I'd probably do it that way. I even think there is a thread on here somewhere of people who have done it already...

I'm sure the people interested in wakeboarding would be more interested in stand ups than couches anyway. Could be cool but I can see some of those guys getting really pissed if we produce too much wake while they're doing a run. Anyone that goes would have to be mindful of that.

They close off a section of the lake they use to do the wakeboard runs so you'd piss them off if you just drove your ski into that area. I was talking about just riding close to where all the fans tie up their boats. Seeing as I am bored I made up a map lol
