Other prop came loose

can some one tell me how a prop can come loose ???
i ran like 60 litres of fuel in my set up (approximately 6-8 hours) then my prop come loose and wrecked my prop and drive shaft threads !!!

It may not have been properly tightened when installed. Can't think of any other logical explanation.

Do tell, because this blows my mind. The prop should tighten even more when running

Ding Ding! We have a winner. I had to see it myself before I believed it but that is what is likely happening. My buddy ended up using a ton of red loctite on his prop threads and it hasn't broke loose since. There is a thread on the whole thing if I can find it.

He was running an EPIC ignition but a few MSD guys chimed in that they too had experienced it from time to time.

So what does it run reserves for a second then switch? Because if it was running backwards the ski shouldn't move,in
theory if the props spinning backwards? Or am I wrong

My buddies would do it when he jumped a wave and landed tail first. Between his low idle setting and the backwards rush of water it would sometimes kick backward. I believe the end fix was to turn the idle up and/or replace the EPIC with an Enhancer.

His would only run for a second or two and then stall out.

one of the top pro sport riders in canada a decade ago goes to the world finals the rubber band snaps and his ski went backwards it had a total loss igniton

thanks guys !!! i have been running total loss for years with no problems ( with the prop that is ) i did lower my idle mid day that day !!! I have never used locktite on my props .i use never seize on all my props and my friends with no problems ...
looks lake im going to recheck my timing ,raise my idle ,and put some red locktite on that beach !!! LOL
