Property tax is different than sales tax. Over here, we pay a property tax on homes, vehicles, boats, atv's etc, every single year, on top of a sales tax paid upon original purchase.
That blows my mind that you have to pay a yearly property tax on your toys!!!!!
Not to start a whole political mess but WTF ...... Taxed when you make money, when you spend money, when you own property.... and machines....
and I just heard that Bing has cut police and fire fighters pay by 10%.
Where does all the $$ go?

Kentucky is real bad to, we pay property tax on everything we own thats titled or deeded a 6% sale tax on everything and a few years ago they changed the rules on cars, trucks and boats. no longer is it just sell price they look up the nada value and tax you on that instead of agreed price. exp i bought a truck for 600 but i got to pay sales and property tax at 5,500.
Rags, you forgot to mention the yearly registration on skis also that's ~$40. Many states it's like $20 for 3 years with no property tax, Kentucky hits $40/year for registration plus property tax.
