I will be providing a security person this year on friday night from 10pm - 6am and saturday night from 10pm - 6am to patrol the hotel parking lot and oceanfront area.
This means you will not be removing your ski from behind the hotel anytime after 10pm on friday or saturday. If you need to leave, ask the security person to call me and get the ok. I want things to be tight back there and I do not want stuff to come up missing. I have instructed the security person to call the Ormond Police if anyone is caught walking off w/ anything, including gear... You are more than welcome to look and check out whatever, touch stuff, just do not leave w/ anything from that area.
Tips
keep your hotel doors shut and locked at all times and remember that this is a big event and will draw people from all over. (including locals)
We had a small problem last year w/ someone stealing stuff that was left in the wide open. Just be careful and keep an eye on your personal goods... (ie. cameras, video equipment, ipods) stuff like that can be easily walked off w/. I am almost 100% sure it was a dead beat from around the area that just took advantage of some who left things unattended. Lets not give anyone any type of opportunity this year.
Overflow parking will not be monitored as closely as the hotel area, but will be monitored lightly.
