Freestyle Pump questions

In my x2 im going to be running a 750sp bore out/ported/polished for freestyle, factory 750 sxi limited pipe, dual red top carbs. So I figured it would probably be a good time to do some pump mods. Right now I am running a pjs scoop grate and a 15* strait edge skat prop.

Some one told me that I should do... big hub swirl prop, pump stuffer, blue print the pump, and bore the nozzle. What do you guys think??? I also have a freestyle pump cone laying around that I would like to use.

THis is a stupid question... but whats a pump stuffer exactly?

My goal for the x2 is to have great low end for a 750 that will hook hard.

Im pretty sure a pump stuffer helps with mid/top end. So if you're looking for low end you want a larger opening with a larger volume of water in front of the prop. everything else you mentioned would help with bottom end.

if you look in your pump around the veins. there's some casting marks and some extra material. They take off this extra materials and make everything smooth. Theoretically it allows more water pass through the pump, which would help low end. The effects are negligible though. You can do it yourself with a dremel though...

Pump stuffer is not just for mid to top end, a big hub swirl impeller with a pump stuffer is a poor mans mag pump. The pump stuffer makes the water compress more and reduces cavitation in the pump which helps for hookup. A mag pump is the best setup for hookup but short of that you will be best off with a big hub swirl impeller with a good wear ring that fits the impeller tightly and a good stator section with a pump stuffer and a bored reduction nozzle. A pump stuffer is not cheap but it comes with 3 different pump cones as well for desired riding style. You could sell your freestyle pump cone to help fund this setup too

Okay that will probably be my plan. Mainly just want this thing to have great throttle responce and hook but it would be nice to have a good top end to so I can beat my friends.

Stop while you are ahead. Focus on the impeller and what is ahead of it rather than all the BS that people put behind it. Get at least a 12-18 concord or a 9-17 skat swirl modified for 650 use, and a deep grate. That old 15 will have very poor low speed thrust compared to new designs.
