Blaster pump rebuild, DIY or pay Mechanic?

Location
Orlando
I took my pump off today and had water come out when I removed the cone and all of the grease was brown. While I have it off I was thinking of rebuilding it. I'm wondering if this is something most people can do or should I pay my mechanic to do it? I see the kits for around $45. Any special tools?

get started on it .. you can always quit and have it done ! but a strong drift punch ,brass punch, and medium size hammer can do it, dont be afraid just think about what your doing , sometimes a propane torch can help in places too

I have the pump out now. How do you get the prop and shaft off? I dont have the stock prop (I have a Skat Trak). The manual shows to twist it of using a vice and a wrench on the nut end of the stock prop. Strap wrench & vice?

Do the bearings press in/out?

I needed to do a midshaft and pump rebuild. I bought a 12 tonne press and looked at it as a long term investment although it may it have been the cheapest route. Jetmaniac has kits for sale for a decent price.

Blow torch and impeller tools as mentioned will also be needed. It is a fairly easy process, the micro fiche from riva is also helpful. Good luck!
