Freestyle Pump size... 148 vs 155...

66E based 927 on pump gas.. novi/FS 48/49(haven't decided).. WDK Pipe, high compression etc
Is a 155 too much for it?
Was leaning toward a 148... but wanted to see some options !

That motor will pull a 155 but will the pump tunnel ? 155 will give a smoother thrust delivery and more pop if the tunnel is sized/shaped correct along with the right prop .

My 771cc twists a 155 just fine. If a 650 can turn a 144......

The pump tunnel must not be a restrictor to make it work correctly.

id say get a garage first for your skis rather than a pump

What hull is it going in? Did you just buy the 927 from Jeff Curry that was listed?

Just spoke to xscream on this tonight. They had a well tuned 148 with a 1200 at worlds skying it so......

If you are willing to replace the pump shoe with a 155 from Thrust then it will be awesome and save you alot of $ to go 155 set back mag because you can get them in aan OEM housing from Skat or Jet Maniac for 1/2 the price of a billet housing 148 mag. The performance is the SAME as a billet housing 155 so why spend more ????
I would definately go 155.
