Hi, I found an awesome ski for sale on the west coast of the United States and I live on east coast. How do I safely purchases the ski and have it shipped and reduce the chance of possibly being screwed over ? I don't know the owner of the ski and the slight chance of being conned out of my money scares me.

Read reviews of the seller if possible. Speak with him/her on the phone. Pay via PayPal or credit card to protect your purchase!

Be sure to read the paypal agreements. You have a certain time period to make a claim or paypal will not back you. Some get scammed by accepting excuses and get out of the claim window.
Also be sure title status is applicable to you state. Some states do not require titles, mine does. If i buy a ski registered in a state that doesnt require a title, then i can never obtain a registration in my state without first resolving the title issue, which is just abput impossible.
