Finally got some parts to put this thing together, I took it all apart and blasted everything. Did a port job to the cases, not the cyl. Next I tapped all the holes sanded all the gasket mating surfaces flat, then painted it black with engine paint. Compression was good when I started so I just measured everything honed it and cleaned it for reasssembly. Tolerances were all within spec so, I bolted her together. A couple Heli-coils were rotted from the salt water and galvanic corosion so I had to redo a few of those. Just finished the ten minute pressure test. At 8 psi starting she held at 7 1/4 psi after 10 min, so I figure thats about 10%, so I believe thats good. I made some pressure test kits up on the laser from 1/4" HRS. Then cut some 1/16" rubber gaskets. Bad idea, the rubber didn't hold, standard gaskets did the trick. I also made some for testing the intake sealing and exh manifold on a factory pipe. That test is to follow after more gaskets arrive, hopefully soon. I also blasted the e box and re did it, waiting on new gaskets, parts etc before I can seal this up also. I cc'd the pro tec head at about 37cc's, and i'm still not sure what exhaust i'm going to run this with, but I need to make my mind up soon as the carbs are next. I finshed the pump last weekend.
