Question about eme micro

This spring i want to buy eme micro (i have 701 engin) I would like to know if the motor is bolt on or did you need adapters for the motor mounts and also for the mid shaft ? I tried to get the info through the website, but they told me to call them. I'm not bilingual enough to talk on the phone. thank for yours anwser

I'm not sure about the micro but the first version of EME hulls were dedicated Kawi engine setups. I had to make custom 62t plates for the mounts to orient them properly for the motor. I had to make them specific to that hull for someone, it was a real nightmare of a hull to work with. The engine bay was really poorly glassed, the original position for the motor mounts were not at the same heights at all. One was lower by almost half an inch from the others. Rhaas makes adapter plates for the 62t to go into EME hulls, this fella I did the work for ordered a set from them. The engine bay was so out of proportion he had to send those plates back and wait for mine to be made. If you already have the hull, maybe look into Rhaas before listening to what EME says. EME mislead the guy I did the work for by telling him to just shim up the mounts to make them work when they really needed a complete adapting kit. I wish I had photos of those plates I made to show you, even the Rhaas guy was impressed lol.

My best advice is to walk away from anything EME....it's all a cluster F pain in the ass to build and just not a good ski period.

Do they not ride good? Just got mine, always just figured it was always about how good the whole setup was?

Build quality is poor, ride quality is poor, nightmare to work on in the engine bay, little to no support from EME. Mind you this is second hand knowledge from a friend who had one.

If you already bought it, ride it and learn what you can and then sell and upgrade. Micro's, Bob1's, Piranas are all in the same category IMO. They are very cheap starter freestyle options that will make or break your love of freestyle. Although I think they have driven more people away from the sport than anything lol.

Evan Krefski and Ryan Doberstein were the only ones that made these hulls shine. Both are pros now. I rode Evans for 45 seconds and gained so much respect for how good of a rider he is.

The one I worked on I ended up riding for a few short runs...I didn't like the thing at all. I really disliked the handlepole mounting on it, all built in glass mounting. No option for a pole spring so you had to either exhaust yourself and overload your lower back trying to support the weight of the cast RRP pole that was on this particular one, or tightened it up so much that you strained your carrots fighting to move it. The fuel tank strap mounts were glassed into the engine bay with nothing as a backing plate for the glass to actually support, they are just a kind of cage-like square strap ring half glassed into the floor. One of them kept tearing out of the floor, and he had one brutal time trying to get the exhaust hose onto the waterbox. There is no room to work on them. When we would bring it into his basement to store for the winter I was shocked by the weight of it. For a should be light hull with a claim to be back flip-able with a stock motor, it sure did feel like it weighed a lot more than my RN SuperJet. I know it didn't, it was very noticeable in the handling difference on the water but it was really not nice to lift and move around.

I’m really disappointed to learn that. I had thought the price was good to start in freestyle.. I think I won’t have a choice but to go with Rickter if I don’t want to be disappointed. I thought maybe I could go with a XFS.. what do you think?

Same statement.Visual may help.

Ride it,before you buy it.

Apoligize if l come off sounding like a smart azz.Done the same thing with the infamous Stunt Hull. That was a $2000 mistake! Took 4 months to build and rode it 15 minutes.Broght it home, took all my parts out,and sold it.
