Question Before Ordering Carbon Fiber!

I plan on reinforcing my ski next week and have a few questions before ordering everything to reinforcing it. I'm going to reinforce the engine compartment and tray. The whole engine compartment i'm going to reinforce with carbon fiber. The tray i'm going to reinforce with a mixture of fiberglass and carbon fiber.

So my question is, what exactly should I order, how much and where from?

If you just plan to hand lay the reinforcement go with glass. The strength in carbon comes from laminating multiple layers and using vacuum bagging to get the resin content right. Otherwise you are just getting cosmetics without all the added strength carbon has to offer.

Alright, since it's also cheaper, I think i'll lay 2 layers of glass where i'm going to reinforce and then add 1 layer of carbon fiber in the engine bay just cause I like the look of carbon fiber
