question on standup

im lookin to get a standup and i was wondering what the best one to start on would be but has enough power that i wont get bored of it cause of lack of power. i have a price limit of around $1200 or less and i am an hour north of tampa florida if anyone is lookin to sell.

I just picked up a mint '90 SuperJet for $1300. The price is on the higher end of the scale for a near stock boat but this thing is MINT and it was local (I'm in SWFL).

It has enough power to have fun and I have been riding it every day since I got it 3 weeks ago. Nothing like an hour of fun after work.

first you wanted to spend 1200 now 1000. You should put your money in the bank so you dont run out of it

You're going to have a tough time finding a running sj in Florida at the beginning of the season for less than $1000. I'm not saying it's impossible, but that's going to be one of those deals where you find it in a local paper or ride by someone's house. Keep in mind that prices peak around July 4 give or take a few weeks. Buy now if you're going to buy anything.
