Were squarenose superjets made in '97 with a 701?

Kind of got into an argument on another forum for sale ad. http://502streetscene.net/forum/showthread.php?t=178756

The pic in the ad is clearly a squarenose yet she says its a '97 and books for $3000. She also claims that BOTH SN and RN superjets were made in 1996 and 1997.

I was under the impression that '94 - '95 SN's had 61x/61x..... Then in '96 it went to a 61x/62t duel carb and RN....

It sounds like they are wrong.

1996 was the first round nose. I have one. They never made both. The round nose replaced the square nose. She is misinformed or lying.

I posted a few times correcting the OP and a moderator deleted my posts. Sounds like the seller has a few friends in high places.

Haven't been able to find anything "proving" that ski isnt a '97. the wikki article isnt helping either? i thought it used to have pics of squares.

She may be looking at a title that says 97 and that's why she is saying that. People trade and sell titles all the time for custom builds, out of state sales, etc...

It's my understanding in 96 they started building RN hulls.

If it's the same lady that I've seen riding it many times over the years, then she's just very strange and not friendly.

90-93 - 650 squarenose
94-95 - 701 squarenose
96+ - 701 roundnose

My red ski was a 96 roundnose, first year they made that style, and the squarenose was not available anymore.

That doesnt have a pic of the squarenose and it doesnt clearly say:
90-93 - 650 squarenose
94-95 - 701 squarenose
96+ - 701 roundnose

Um... aren't the last 2 digits of the HIN # the year? Have her post up the HIN.

an example: YAML2608D494

That would mean that the HIN I just posted is off a a ski that was a 1994 model year.


That ski could have non-original HIN plates, but I doubt it. Have the OP post the HIN.... problem solved.

Just to let you now how retarded this planet is this guy has made like $600,000 in itunes sales of his stupid remix songs and I think he even is getting his own reality show too.
