R&D Head ORing question

I recently just bought a r&d head and in the package came with two orings, and my engine builder sent me an extra set. The ones that came in the package, were to big to fit the grove in the head, and the ones from my engine builder were to small.
Is there a special way to make them fit, can i superglue the smaller ones in? Or can i cut the big ones?

get the proper o-rings...those o-rings keep water from getting to your cylinder wall... pistons and more...water in there at the least will affect lubrication leading to engine damage....the cost of o-rings versus tearing the motor apart to find horror is not worth it....IMO
