for the pump i am going to be putting in the sj pump tunnel and changing the mounts to take a sj pump

not sure how much you thought about how to do the pump, but we have a skunksworks project doing the same thing. by mounts you mean the pump correct? cause the motor doesnt need to move. I was thinking it would be nice to use the sj rideplate but I think that I will have to keep the fx plate or I will have to make a special sj plate to match the fx chines.

anyway I was thinking about how to locate the pump for sj pump area install and was thinking I would make a jig to mount to the motor mounts and pto flange and hold the pump and shaft in perfect alignment. you may also want to put a thin shim in just to make sure you have some adjustment. maybe not.

anyway glad to see there are some other people taking the fx seriously to another level. I will be watchin this thread fo sho!:headbang:

i am going to try and leave the width of the pump area like the fx1 and put the sj tray and inserts on top.. i will have to make my own ride plate because i shorten the hull so much.. i am going to use a sj driveshaft its 26" and the fx1 is 23" the extra wear ring is like 2 3/4" i will be able to move the pump tunnel and shoe back enough to make it work.. but will add back inserts for the compensation of the extra wear ring and have the stock sj inserts just in case it doesn't work..

lemme know if you need some help with the rideplate when you get there. should be pulling my visual carbon fx1 plate off the mold today. see how it goes.
