Freestyle Ready to ride weights

I just weighed my Circus.
I run a big battery for total loss, air filter to oem box adapters, and a couple of other things to keep it reliable.
The ski weighs in at 239 with hood and gas, anyone else care to share?

How much gas?

My Superfreak Badass with heavy 140mm mag pump, Jetworks full size battery, B-Pipe, stock tank and 2.5 gallons of gas and carbon pole weighed 259 pounds on a calibrated shipping scale.
That's with a hull weight of 56 lbs, hood 8 lbs, pole 6.5 lbs

Replace the stock tank with a Jazz tank (3.5 lbs lighter than stock), full size battery with Ballistic and you're looking at 245 lbs RTR with 2.5 gallons gas.
Considering how light the hull is, I wonder how some people get RTR weights of 210 lbs?
Take out the gas (because a lot of people weigh without gas), and you'd be at 228.
You could save another 5 lbs or so by using a pump not as heavy as the 140 mag. 223 lbs.
I suppose the hull could be another 10 lbs lighter for a competition boat, but the people I've seen posting those really low weights run RRP poles, so that savings in the hull goes right back to the pole.

HOLY @#%%^&%$! 240 pounds?! I'm curious about how long these boats stay in one piece considering how hard and how high they get hammered. Anyone have a ski like these 1 year, 2 years since being built? I may have to consider one of these light weight skis.

I hammered on my Freak pretty hard for two years. I tore out the battery tray and a motor mount insert, but the hull itself stayed solid.

freaks are about the only hull i've heard were bullet proof. i wont list the ones that i heard crack break and grenade. not a lot of feedback on most AM hulls as far as lasting construction quality. i think i've had my freak together for about a year now with no signs of it falling apart. if that friggin backie chan steve guy would ever get me a hull, i'd definatly put it thru the ringer and find out what its made of. he says if i dont have an XS1200 to put in one, i'm a peasant and aint getting $hit from him.

My Hurricane was 230 rtr without fuel so add 2 gal of fuel at 7 ish lbs a gal its 244 topped off. And I have a 16 cell Ballistic battery for weight savings too.

The ninja pole is 9 lbs I don't think there's much difference in weight between poles these days except the price.
The x metal one claims to weigh 8 lbs?

The guys that claim to have a rtr of 210lbs are on crack or there scales are broken. My buddy bought one of these supposed 210 lb skis, but it turned out to be 235lbs on my scale no gas. It was still the lightest ski I've ever picked up. I don't know what more you could do, the hull weight was 45lbs. The only heavy part on it was a billet rrp, I'm sure we could get it down to 228lbs but that's the max

I <3 this thread. Someday ill have a weight to post, it'll probably be close to Deftons tho.

Anyone have any thoughts on a hull being too light to ride enjoyably?

Just to keep it real, my RN with bad reinforcement, wet foam, and a little fuel was 318lbs.

Light weight skis are more difficult to stay on when you get tired in rough water. Ask Larry about the superfreak that he owned.

That sounds way too light with wet foam. My superjet came in at 370 lbs with wetfoam

My home away from home.
TheBuzzard's Freak is pretty much indestructible I think. He rips the crap out of that thing and it's still solid. I honestly can say, I've never seen anybody hammer a ski so hard. No offense to him at all, it's actually a compliment to his skill and love for just riding the way he wants to.

Sorry to derail Chris. And I have no clue what my ski weighs, sorry bro... I suck lol!

:dunno: Thats what the scale said. The foam wasn't completely saturated, but there was standing water on the one way side. It rode heavy, I can tell you that.

Not saying its obese, just posting a weight for reference.
