Rear view camera

When towing with my f150 I cannot see my ski, therefore I'd like to have my camera on all the time. I have the 4.2" screen and my truck is not compatible with lockpick

I hooked my rear view camera to my license plate light. So when my parking lights are on my camera will work.

Possible to do the same?

That's a good idea, what truck? I was thinking about bypassing my reverse signal with a switch, but the parking light idea might work good too.

I hooked mine to an unused fog lamp switch on the dash instead of connecting it to the reverse lights. I can't see my mini boat or jetski when in tow and I LOVE being able to check on it!

Mine tee's into the trailer plug and uses the reverse as the "ON". It's nice that it automatically comes on when in reverse. But would be nice to turn on when need. Same as ADDict, I can't see the jet ski when in tow. However my camera points down at the ball hitch. I can see the trailer is there but not the ski.

If you get power from or near the trailer plug, there should be an always hot 12V signal. That is if you have a 7-pin.
