Super Jet Rebirth of the Guinness Boat

Bought this hull last summer and after riding figured the footholds were way to forward and the tray was a little narrow for my liking.
Also building up bored over 701 to replace the 650 that resides within the hull. although this is my first build I do have the help of JJC568 to help out.
Here are a few shots of the progress.

Here are some of the before shots.

First pic the the tray de-turfed before cut. the other are of the tray after its been cut up and shaped. Using Pink HomeDepot insulating foam to create some footholds. its much much wider in the back now

Created footholds towards the front so that you can still ride with a surf stance but also ones in the back.

Should have probably did all the cutting and sanding with the hood on ooops...going to have to flood that and just turn the bilge on

Here's the pics I took.... Yes Nate cut the tray with a Circular Saw LOL.....

We kinda went for a "bob" hold only not adjustable and with some more toe room. (The pink foam wasnt in final shape with these pics)

Bud light? gross. How about I get you in touch with the guy who made the Guinness graphics and you put them back on?

Guinness on one side and Bass on the other...it could be a Black and Tan.
I wouldnt be against going back to the Guinness

I'd rather drink flat bud light than guinness...especially when its served room temp. might as well b dog bowl water.

Motor coming together Here are a few more pics to go with the ones that JJC568 postedMotor1.jpgmotor2.jpgmotor3.jpgmotor4.jpgmotor5.jpg

R&D intake mani sitting under carbs.
still need to order some bigger jets for em, and also send out flywheel to be lightened before motor can be completely buttoned up.

When I first got the boat I noticed that the front end of it was quite HEAVY so I did a little investigating and drilled a hole through the front bulk head and noticed that all the foam in the front is water saturated so that will need to be address. hopefully that could shave off twenty pounds in the front. which would be sweet!

going for a Black and Yellow theme...black and yellow motor, black and yellow turf, etc... so i am thinking about a SuperBee or KillerBee name for this project and maybe some graphics....just a thought tho but something like this.... SuperBee2.png

Anybody else have any ideas or suggestions...or even know anyone who could make some decent decals for me.

exotic signs has all the industry logos (not sure if Dk1 does or not). Look for ski doo killer bee decals. They had that theme on the sleds.

I looked at some of the Decals from the Doo's and I haven't really come across one that I like, but ill keep on looking.

BTW...carpeted two of the bunks so far...but I'll save some work for you too.

Trial Fit 1.jpgTrial Fit 2.jpg

Here's a couple of picks of trial fitting motor in hull.
Update of whats happened so far.....
- Motor is just about done, need to add stator and wheel and should be good to go.
- Redoing the e-box at the moment.
- pulled the pump yesterday to find water lines had snapped off from hull....looks like it been broke for a while, fixed that.
- pulled old prop off (Skat Trac) to put new one on (Hooker) and it doesn't fit, new Hooker is bigger in diameter then the wear ring is, by about 2 thousandths, so that now need to be address.
- de-foamed the nose of the boat (JCC568 has a cool picture of that, lol)

OK...so this project is starting to drag on...
just can't seem to find the time (tools or parts) to finish this thing

However coming in the mail I got
Turf, MSD, X-Metal Trim, and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff coming so hopefully I'll have everything I need to finally get this thing put together and ready for the water!!!
