SX/SXi/SXi Pro Rebuilding SBN 46

I just bought a set of 46's and I thought I rebuilt the fuel pumps correctly until I saw this...

http://www.mikuni.com/pdf/sbn_manual.pdf

It seems like I'm supposed to use the normal gasket > plastic gasket > another normal gasket > o-ring. Currently, I have it set up as gasket > plastic gasket > O-ring (like it appeared to be from the factory).

Which way is correct??

this is correct, if it is a aftermarket SBN46

New to me. They are used carbs. (Fixed in the 1st post)

What do you mean by aftermarket? They're both Mikuni 46mm carbs.

"aftermarket" as in sold as an aftermarket carb. Mikuni is also an OE carb supplier for MANY PWC company's. Yamaha for instance, in the early super jets, used a Mikuni SBN 44 carb, and they DID use both of the paper gaskets on each side of the clear diaphragm. i know Wet Jet, and i believe one of the tiger shark engines had a mikuni 46mm stock. i am unfamiliar with those, and i do not know if they use the gasket, or o-ring on the pump body.

if you have the groove for the o-ring, you use the o-ring, if there is no groove, then you use the gasket in the kit.
