Well, last week some may remember reading how the piston ring snagged the exhaust port on my TJ cylinder. http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/20899 I sent my cylinder to Paul at LPW and he had the whole thing bored out and matched to a new set of ProX pistons in a few days. Friday I received the package after work. I started rebuilding the motor from the ground up at 3PM. By 8:30PM I had the whole thing rebuilt and sitting back in the hull. I charged the battery back up and it fired on the trailer. I went to the water on Saturday and again it came right to life. The ski sounded great and it had the beautiful sound of :brap: Since I rejetted the carb (130 low to 132.5 low & 145 high to 140 high) I tuned the carb against the dock. Both the low and high were set about 1 1/4 turns out. Now the ski was reaching full throttle and was idling decent. I took the ski out to break it in. I ended up getting about a tank and a half through it over the afternoon.
Feels good to be back!
