Reinforcing tray?

I just got my footholds done, and wondering if it is necessary to reinforce the stock tray on an SXR before I turf over it all.

I'll be riding in Lake Michigan a decent amount so there is a chance for some pretty big waves. I have some 1708 biaxial mat that I got from US Composites when I ordered my foam.....

Any input would be great....

FYI I'm NOT light....240 lbs, I'd hate to crack that thing and have to pull the turf up all over again to fix it, so keep that in mind.

So no one has done this.....not with biax, kevlar, or CF....????

Any input would be great right about now as i'm holding off to finish everything up....

I did a search and I did not see people doing the tray reinforcing, but hey a lay of glass could not hurt.. The SXR is a soild ski.

No you don''t need to reinforce the trey it's thicker than the superjets, just put you some extra padding on it and your footholds so it's nice and plush when you jump.

Ordering some 26mm pad for the tray, and some 9mm for the rails and top of the holds. Thing is gonna feel like putting on a brand new tennis shoe. lol

Also, I have the Tom21 footholds, has anyone used 1 inch pad bottom and top and just sanded the top down to form?....I do like to ride barefoot often.

On a side note...I have a 3ft x 3ft sheet of 1708....anyone need some now?
