Octane Remove choke and install primer?

Anyone remove the choke butterflys from their carbs for extra power. (less airflow restiction?)

Is it worth it? What primer kit did you install?

I did. Actually I shipped my carbs to Randy at Watcon, because the jetting was so bad. He set them up for me, and removed the choke and added the primer. He also put the beginnings of an idle stop on it, but I never got around to making it work.

I like the theory that it will improve power, but more than anything I like the idea of less parts to go wrong (like screws backing out and getting sucked into the motor....) Plus starting a ski with a primer is so much easier than with a choke!
