Removing coating that comes on B pipes?

My b pipe is looking a bit dingy, and I am looking to polish it, what is the recommended method for stripping the coating off that they come with?

i blocked my passages off and sandblasted it. Then polished it...there are minor blemished in the casing and you will get some little pin hole looking craters. Its really hard to get the inside of the curl.

Someone may have a good chemical cleaner that would make the job easier though

Don't waste your time polishing it. I polished my chamber and it looks great until you go to the lake and it gets water spots all over it...

Sandblasting won't pit it. If you're worried, use beads. It's softer than glass. I bead blasted and powder coated my chamber. If you PM me your number I'll text you a pic. Good luck.

same here, sandblasting did not pit the chamber, the headpipe however had some spots where there was imperfections in the casting surface.

I bought one of those 3M headlight renewal/polishing kits at menards, and went to town with it after blasting it. Turned out nice, not perfect but should make the honey's rip their shirts off.

I used a medium pad on a wiz wheel, took the paint off quick but added a few extra steps to polishing it. Like others said, it does spot up super quick but I just run mine over the polishing wheel whenever I have the time and it cleans off easy. It hasnt got any shirts off yet though, I should ride without the hood on sometime and see if it works.

Mine was powder coated silver when I got it used. Not sure how it comes from FPP. I used "stripper" from home depot.

I sent mine to a shop and had it stripped and ceramic coated. Cost me $175 for all 3 pieces. The finish looks great, should last a long time and the ceramic coating offers increased performance and lower under hood temperatures.

I used paint stripper from home depot. It took the paint right off. Then I used steel wool to clean it up. I didnt polish it alot just left it with a steel wool finish. Looks good and I clean it with steel wool every other ride.
