I'm sure this has been covered, but cant find anything on it when I searched.

What is the proper way to remove the temp sensor? Should I remove it? Advantages/disadvantages?

Running a stock 650 motor and ebox from a waverunner III but it will have a factory pipe manifold with a "cheater" pipe.

Hey Ryan! I can't speak on advantages/disadvantages, but if u end up wanting to cut the wires flush on the Ebox, DON'T cut them flush. I say this because I was riding a ski in the surf that had them cut flush. The salt water was arcing the 2 exposed ends, causing the ski to barely move. If you ride in fresh water only, you'll likely never see an issue if they're cut flush. But, it's easy to avoid this.
So, I'd either take them off from within the E-Box (most proper way I'd assume). Or, if u cut them, just give them a couple inches outside of the e-box and then cap off each end so they can't accidentally touch either, or arc in salt water.

If you do feel like cutting them flush, just make sure you cover the cut ends/grommet with silicone and you should be fine. But Id definitely open the ebox and remove the wires.

If you race, you can wire it to a button on your bars and use it as a throttle control on the starting line. I;ve never done it but I think in the heyday of racing it was popular. I just coiled mine up and zip tied it to the box.

Hey Ryan how have you been!? Long time no see! I planned on removing it inside the box and not cut wires but if its that big of a pain I may just leave and run it in the head.

What they said, but I wouldn't open up the ebox just for that. Coil it up outside the ebox or trim it flush and remove it properly the next time you have your ebox open for something else.

I appreciate all the help, sounds like trimming it flush is the way to go.

If I do decide to open the box and remove it, any proper way or just unplug?
