removing th hood foam?

i just picked up a clean 92 x2, took it to the river and fell in love, way funner than my waveblaster.
i had a couple guys tell me to take the foam out of the hood! do u guys really do this?

I've heard it can cause issues when the ski is trying to right itself in the water.... after the rider falls off.

Leave it in. Could keep your boat from completely sinking and you dont gain anything by taking it out.

Removing emergency flotation seems like the worst kind of idea.

my ski came without it in and it sank all the waydown to the bottom, luckily it was in 4 feet of water and i picked it out of the water and dumped some water out and then let the bilge do its work

I went out of my way to keep mine after shaving my hood and doing my own intake. I can only think of cons for removing it...

My ski used to right itself. I removed the foam and now when it flips over it stays up-side-down. Very bad... I had to removed it to fit the Kawi 750 chamber, but now that I have a different chamber, I cam going to put 2-part foam back in there.
