I'm talking with Brannan Realty about renting a house for LSFR.

would be nice to rent a large house - there are 2 houses that will be ready for occupancy by March according to Brannan:

Fee: $1770 ($85 per person)

I should have the deposit requirements ironed out tomorrow. Buena Vista looks nice, there are no pictures of Calypso on their site.

who would be in for staying in the group house?

OK - which house?

You can go to the site and click on "virtual tour" of each house for photos.

Buena Vista looks much nicer - but if there's a bunch of singles coming, Calypso has more bunk beds.

Here's the sticker:

40% deposit is required within 1 week of making the reservation. I don't mind putting it on my credit card, but I need a few of ya'll to go ahead and pay up if I do that. I can't be on the hook for $700 all by myself. :biggrin:

Calypso has an extra half bath and is a little further from the neighbors. My guess is the more remote the better. I'm not saying that some of you are really, really loud, in a fun drunken way, but you are.

Is the cost per night or for the weekend?

It also looks like Calypso has more parking that Buena Vista.

parking will definitely be an issue with either house. We may need to park some peeps on the beach for the weekend. I don't mind doing that with my truck & trailer...others will need to be flexible in that sense as well.

that cost is per person based on the rated occupancy for the house for the weekend. (check in Friday, check out Monday)

I had asked Letha about check-in on Thursday, check out on Sunday - but she has not responded to that request yet. Then again, if we have to check out Sunday - it will be early and I'd like to shower and clean up before I hit the road.

Genesis is being renovated and will not be ready by March.

Letha just sent email that Buena Vista is now rented for the entire week.

so it's Calypso - or find a smaller house.

I need a total of 9 people to send me their portion of the rental, with the understanding that if we don't put 22 peeps in the house - the price will go up just a bit.

rental is $1665 or $76 per person, $152 per couple for the weekend.

I'm down for 2 spots, so that's $152 of the required $666 deposit - need 7 more peoples to commit.
