Freestyle Replacing Stock choke with Primer on stock 38's

gc4

I'd be lost without the x
I did some searching but didn't come up with anything solid. I've read on the site, here and there, people advising a replacement of the stock choke system on an SJ stock 38's to a primer kit.

What are the reasons to do this? What mods need to be done to the carbs to do this?

Thanks for the help!

In my opinion, don't do this. From what I have experienced and read, the choke plates need to be in place to allow proper fuel metering. Both my Waveblaster and superjet suffered after I performed this operation.

I feel it should only be added when you move up to aftermarket carbs

X2 or if you do install primer fittings leave the choke assembly in place. and just remove the cable and lock them open.
