I would like to make available printable articles written by our most experienced members. These articles will most likely be in PDF format which will include a materials list, and be in chronological format from start to finish. Ideally these articles will have good color photos exhibiting technique, applications, and the overall objective.

With the assistance of our members, the information for you to do various work on your ski will be available while you work on your winter projects and the content will be independent of others ensuring it will always be available.

If you have any recommendations, other than topics already found in this forum, please reply to this thread.

Thanks,

This is where you submit threads for the Tech section. They are deleted here and added / or not to the tech section.

This is linked from the sticky at the top of that section.

Have a lovely Sunday.

After toiling with hammers, heat, impact hammer, wd40, PB, CLR, bending the brackets with channel locks and vice-grips and much cursing I found a way that might work consistently for others.Esp if you don't have an extra set of hands.

First, I removed the ebox from the bulkhead.

This is dark because I soaked it in everything I could think off to break it free/ dissolve the crud. but you can see the gap that's filled with the crud.

Once you find it get a 1/16" bit and drill one or two right next to the post. The crud is softer than the post and you barely damage the post. #winning

After drilling the holes you can hit the bracket in a way to twist the post and it breaks free pretty easily!!

I have chased the ebox holes with an 11/16th bit and I will get the cruddy brackets into the glass beader and chase the threads.

When I reinstall I will wrap some Teflon tape and graphite never-sieze for next time.
