I'm going to order some epoxy resin for my top deck conversion, who do you recommend?

I've used West System before, but it seems higher priced than others. We also don't have West Marine stores here so I can't just go pick it up.

I also need to get some expanding foam, so ideally I'd get both shipped at the same time to save some money.

i ordered us composites, 1 gallon of 3:1 medium epoxy resin was 60.00 and the foam was the same i believe 1 gallon for 60.00 this includes both parts of each.
shipping took about 4 days.

got some us composites epoxy resin a few months back, worked pretty good...... You can get the foam from them also.

different mixture rates, you end up with more than you need unlike the west systems where you start out at smaller quantities. You could mix them your self down to smaller amounts by measuring out the liquid components

West is the best IMHO, then its the US composites epoxy..

The best bang for the money is the US Composites and there foam has worked well for me in the past.

Great communication and shipping as promised from US.

I cant speak to the other company's but uscomposites has been easy to deal with and good prices.

I haven't had any problems with the resins and fabrics....

I have used 3 kinds of there foam and all worked fine.... just dont leave it in the garage over the winter...... It didnt work the next year.....

I use Hi Bond products.... they are found in most Paint and Body Supply Store... They make foam and epoxy resins The 3:1 is a tad stronger than the 5:1, but I like the 5:1 just as much...

I have used west systems and us composites.

I liked the west system better. the pumps were 1:1 which was great for making small batches of resin if i needed it. Also it nearly had no smell. the us composites stuff worked fine i just liked the way the west systems wetted out the glass better than the us composites. I also thought the us composites stuff a rather distinguished odor.

id go with us composites again since i am poor, i just got a smoking deal on a gallon kit of resin from west marine for the west systems when i bought it last time.

I started with the us composites, and later got some west systems

I found the west systems easier to work with, and their pump system is MUCH more efficient as far as not wasting resin. Based on price alone, I'd go back to us composites and deal with more waste because the price is literally half unless you have a nice hook up.

I've used Hi-Bond, West Systems, and US composites and I'd have to say that for an average garage builder, there isn't enough difference to shop on anything other than price. I'll second that US Composites has super customer service.

always used system three epoxy.had their stuff on the shelf for over 15 years and it's still good.
customer service is top notch.
not sure how the prices compare though.
