Restoring my 97 sj... or moving it all to a AM hull

I thought I'd post up my winter project. Since it will be bloody cold soon and I have nothing better to do I figured I'd start this new project.

It's a 97 superjet I got a wicked deal on. Didnt have spark when I bought it and looked like he left it outside for a month with the hood off.

So I figured I'd rip it apart and either give it some tlc or use the parts for a am hull.

I'll post photos and progress as I go.

Nice boat. AM hull or repair is budget based. Hull is in good condition so you can run it as is for basically free or buy a AM hull for a few thousand. None of us can make that decision for you.

You'd likely be money and time ahead to put a stock pipe and pole on that boat, buy a AM ski RTR and sell the parts left over you don't want.

Pipe was starting to melt th gas tank...

Rrp pole/mount removed. Plus the tank and pipe.

Flipped it over to remove the pump and noticed the nose is all cracked.

Not sure how he got it that dirty inside.

Just got to remove the steering cable. Then decided if I'm keeping the hull or not. If I am I'll start removing the old turf and hopfully not ruin the rail extentions doing so.

I'm into this for pretty cheap (3000 cdn or 2100us. But I'm not sure on the budget since I still need another race ski. Lol

Plus I bought a sx300 for my kids I need to clean up.

I like that chin pad. with some turf on it, it beats the $250-$300 RRP alternative.

Haven't rode a trixstar. But I'm friends with Chad the guy who makes them
