i have a 61x 701 with bpipe ada head an single 44 sbn i hate the rev limiter is there anything that can be done to teh stock cdi to get rid of the rev limiter and if so how do i go along with doing that

Quite a few posts detailing out how to hack into the CDI and mod it. Search feature is going to be your best chance of finding it.

I would just get a msd. You can find them new for around 250 and they also advance your timing.(2 birds with one stone)

yea i thought about it but id rather spend that money somewhere else if i can just remove the rev limiter my self. i hear mixed things about a msd

Here are the stock rev limits for each CDI box:

• 6M6 CDI (650 models) 6500-6600 rpm
• 61X CDI (701 94/95) 7050-7150 rpm
• 62T CDI (701 96+) 7050-7150 rpm
