Rickter Carbon Core, Anyone had issues??

Hey yaw,

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on purchasing a Rickter XFR hull and am having some trouble deciding on which layup to go with. I would love to go with a full Carbon layup but am having a difficult time justifying the additional cost. From what I have been able to gather the Carbon Core option is a decent compromise between the Fiberglass and Carbon layups as far as weight goes. However, I have been told that some may had issues with the front of the tray cracking on the XFR carbon core layup. I also have some personal experience with using Nomex Honeycomb as a core material when laying up a Carbon fiber aero package for a Formula SAE race car and we had a few issues with the carbon delaminating from the honeycomb core. Now I don't know exactly what core material Rickter uses in their layups but I would imagine it is something similar to Nomex Honeycomb Core. I will admit that the delimitation could have simply been due to some mistake on our end but I still figured it is something I should look into.

With all off that said I was just wondering if anyone out there knows of or has had any issues with the Carbon Core Rickter hulls? If so what where they? I'm particular interested in the possible cracking issue with the Carbon Core XFR. But I would also very much like to know if anyone has had any issues with any of the Carbon Core Rickter hulls?
