Rickter FS-1 (vs) Other Lightweight Hulls

The Rickter hulls look great, but it will end up costing about 8000-9000 by the time its all said and done... and thats the fiberglass version weighing in at 90-100lbs...

There are lightweight superjet and kawi based hulls that go for 3000-6000 and are pretty damn nice... their weight is lighter than the Rickter's by a good 10-20lbs.

The Rickter hull design is different though... question is does the hull design make it worth the extra money compared to the lightweights?

The other ski I like is the xft... does the rickter have an edge over the xft even though its 15+ lbs heavier than the xft surf version? xft makes a mighty nice hull!!

Tem's Carbon Jet

Hull Top & Bottom All Bonded, Footholds, 1 Scupper Tube, Exhaust tube, all inside fittings. (Battery can be Center or Factory, also mounts can be for factory SJ tank or 2-3 Gal. Tank) Hull with all fittings, etc 54lbs

1.25” wider than 07 specs, closer to 09; more stable. Widest point is between the motor mounts.

Motor mounts bonded in. Aluminum inserts for water box, batteries, midshaft, intake grate, pump, and ride plate are all mounted and bonded .

2.5” OD exhaust. 2” single scupper tube recessed for X Metal fittings. Midshaft coupling tube, 2 cooling lines, steering tube, trim tube, all mounted and bonded.

Strakes run deeper than stock but can be further raduised for less edgy ride.

No external gas cap. No bow tow hole. Raised lip on the hull by aboot .75” where the hood sits on so it doesn't blow off sideways.

Chamfered bottom of the hull so the nozzle can rotate fully with the trim up.

Footwells bonded in

Bottom is not a 96-07 & not a 08-09 bottom. It has some tubbie built in, but still feels lose like a 96 bottom, but will turn when you want.

Hood 5lbs

Nose cover 1 lbs

Tem's new hull has the rear tray like a SXR on the sides, Tray is 2-3 inch's wider than a SJ & lighter than mine. & mines 54lbs without paint. New one has the same bottom as mine, just changed the top some. Mine came in at 250lbs full of fuel & ready to ride!

Price $6999 Pound for Dollar its priced right!

great... they moved the thread to the section where nobody will look.

General section description: "Whatever you want that is ski-related"

Why dont we take every thread that has something to do with the superjet and move it to that section?

My hull is 1.75 shorter so its called a "BF" hull but you can get a standard or shorter. Its what ever you want!

I like mine because it rides nice & straight, handles well, rides nose high if you want, & flips quick!

Thanks Idok, next week you can get some more time on her!

1.75 in. just on the bottom & it looks factory. Not the best picture but you can see the ride plate is standard SJ & you can see the rear bolt hole in the ride plate.

Top deck is factory SJ, no fuel fill, No bow eye in front.

is there a website or something for the tems haul or pics

You can check my build out

http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/57086

Right now the only way to get one of Tem's hulls is through Me or Jetmanica. Chris is building one & maybe another local in Orlando. Tem is a really cool guy, will work with you to get the perfect Hull that you want.

My Ski will be at Rock n Ride & Wave Daze this year if anyone wants to take a ride.

"Aftermarket/Custom/Hybrid hulls Any kind of hull/ski that doesn't really fit an 'oem' description anymore."

And to think, I thought I was reading about RRP Hulls and such, guess I was confused and mistaken.

It should be up to me where I want to put my thread... please take any superjet threads and put them there... any blaster threads and put them there... etc etc... point is- nobody looks in those sections very much thank you peace
