Super Jet Ride Plate Lenght Preferences - Superjet

See what lenght everyone prefers to run there ride plate on there Superjet and what brand.

Both pre 08 and 08 upwards i am more concern with pre 08 set ups

Cut Flush rear of the ski
50mm past the rear of the ski
100mm past the rear of the ski
50mm past the ski with a D cut
or
Flush with a D cut

maybe why you prefer that plate over others.

For going fast, I like the longest extended plate I can get. For flat water try running no plate. YOUR preference will be somewhere in between. Handlepole length is an equally important consideration.

I run extended plates. I'm not a big fan of the d cut after trying an extended one but I don't brap in circles hitting my own waves much. Extended plate lets me rip slalom, boat wakes and freeride. My boat was built for freeride tho not only freestyle. If I were doing freestyle only I'd run a stock plate.

my pre 08 votes: 1st = Flush with a D cut (anti-pearl in surf a bit and allows flatwater verticle jumps and slides out in turns) 2nd vote= stock flush..

I have a 2010 SJ and I have the stock plate flush and d-cut. Great for jumps and keeping the nose up. I think it really digs the rear chines in more though. Would like to try a stock flush without the d-cut to see if I can get it to slide more.

I like a longer plate. Flush with nozzle then D-cut. Seems to work for me as all around, brings the nose down a little and still hooks up in the turns, not big on sliding. Get 2 plates, start cutting one, when it starts to suck you went to far then mod the second one and be just right.

Not the best pic but I have a extended plate cut down. I have 4 or 5 different plates I have tried and I like this one the best for surf and flatwater freestyle. It lets the back end get low and still handles well if you wanted to run some buoys or something.
