Very nice hulls and bikerdave was going huge... this is what its all about dudes! rock out and have a good time. Just think the dude on the TS behind dave is feeling just as bad*ss!

Haha I had an amazing time...my first impression of the ski was so so I was just worried Id miss my v2...the first minute in the water it felt so good in the surf that I just started going off...went with a long plate long pole setup which is new to me and felt super comfortable...thanks a bunch Tony im super happy with it. I felt like this was my best riding ever this event

i love picking apart why hulls do what they do and how designs vary when in different combinations.....this hull was impressive in many ways and very much a surf ski! Its abilities are extensive and its ergonomics on point for surf. the addition of tubbies is great and much needed. the light angle to the bond rail sides is effective on stability upon landing but not overkill like some 45* rails can feel and limit the ski from a smooth and aggressive leaning turn. The reduced nose rocker is a lot more suitable for surf riding and keeping speed. Many fit and finish details to impress. Dont overlook this hull guys. Very nice and quality of composite work is likely to prove a lot better than most others on the market.

It might be a bold statement, but if there is going to be a company that can mass produce with high quality like rickters, I think tigercraft can be that company.

Edit...Oh yea, and made in the US!

Just seeing this thread now, didn't even get the alert from Jeastes tagging my name for some reason. This hull is awesome in the surf for sure! Similar enough to the V2 that I could adapt fairly easily but different enough that I was still learning the handling characteristics more and more every ride. It's more loose due to the shallower strakes which helps for sliding but the tubbies help for directional stability and aggressive surfriding. The tighter rails keep it more loose when Layed over on edge and also help for landing from big airs since they have less surface area to avoid stopping the ski from submerging into the water. This is good because some hulls can really hurt when lending big airs especially when landing flat. Build quality is beyond amazing with OCD type attention to detail and this hull proves to be on point with any other top notch hulls on the market. I had fun testing this ski at Wavedaze for sure and really wanted to take one of them home with me.
I put my order in that same weekend!

Great review! I like what you mentioned about hard landings on some skis, that is the main reason I was wanting a heavier ski for the surf. It sounds like TigerCraft hit a home run, with the changes made!

It's so hard to keep your mind right at free rides and fully focus on a certain ski. I actually realized after some ride time and thinking back that I had no harsh landings . Coming from a carbon Superfreak you will think you're landing in marshmallows with an SV1 haha. I'm no longer interested in light skis, they're over rated and not for surf

I'm a bit out of the loop here.... What's the changes from v1, v2, sv1? Are they all surf boats?

I need to get on one of these Aqua snots. Still haven't tried one yet.

Can anyone direct me to a thread to waste some time reading on all the differences?

Basically we took input from Gil Beurnier, Cuong Son, Tiago Geitens, and Mick Anthony to improve on the Aquabot V2 for a more surf oriented hull. It's still a relatively short hull for surf, but rides like a much bigger hull.

Tiger Craft SV1

*new top deck with redesigned lines and lengthened gunwales
*angled rails for more grip while surf riding and added stability when landing.
*larger pump tunnel for more hookup and wider mounting area for 144-155mm pumps without th...e need for extensive modifications.
*increased tray length and width
*larger and lower hood opening
*revised rocker and width on the nose giving more pop off the wave and increased handling.
*chine depth has been lessened for a better surf ride
*fully adjustable tailplate
* 3 inches longer than Aquabot V2
*optional tubbies

Aquabot V1 to V2 differences are mainly cosmetic.........less lines on the top deck, hood change, and over-all fit and finsh/tolerances tightened up.

I road 5 different sv1 hulls 4 of which were limited 701 setups with powerfactor and factory b pipes. I was impressed with how a limited 701 felt in each of these hulls. hull is very stable and maneuverable and rides light on the water. The tubbies are another plus in my opinion giving another pivot point when laying the ski over and cutting back on the face.
Each hull I road I believe had the longest point of the plate cut to 11 inches and did not have me fighting the nose. I will be trying mine out at full length before cutting just to try a different feel. The nose does not want to pearl on this boat, you can get away with a lot when dropping the nose into a breaking wave. I preferred this ride over the v1 and v2. It was hard to get a feel on the v1 and v2 I road as they were not set up to my preference and I did not have much time on either. Quality is where Tonys skill set shines though in my opinion, Great customer service as well.

It's great to hear positive things about a U.S.-manufactured product. Stoked to hear that construction is solid and handling is on point. Seems like this is a great option to have in the surf ski quiver.

What is the overall length of this hull including how far the pump sticks out of the back? I'm trying to figure out how long of a truck bed I need if I want it secured inside a camper shell.
