Dept of fish and game are down there constantly on weekends. Fairfax county docks their police and fire boats down there 24/7. So they're on top of you..Cite you for loud exhaust and wreck less operation, lack of fire ext..I've seen it happen a few other riders, I got a warning, I go about twice a month. The hydrilla grass gets real bad around May-June and clogs the pumps like crazy. But pohick is chill and quiet. It's a beach launch.aside of the main ramp. Peeps used to run bouys on standups years ago on summer week nights. When I see the green tahoes roll in (park cops) I pack it up and head out. They check everything... Trailer lights, coolers , fire extinguishers!! Instant revenue cause they know how to ruin a weekend and know you'll pay the fines outside of court. Not to discourage anyone it's a hell of a nice spot but has its drawbacks especially on a weekend..that being said I've been there about 40-50 times and had 10 crappy encounters.. Good luck if you roll down I may slide down myself. I'm about 25 mins away!
