Ride This Saturday 8 mile rd Galveston Surf Report Looking up

I have been waiting for it to get a little warmer and this weekend looks like the swell and weather are coming together.

Friday looks like swell peak but high on shore winds and low tide. Could be fun but will likley be a washing maching.

Saturday Off Shore winds starting before sunrise but peak high tide at 9am. Smaller surf but should be clean and hollow.

Nelson and I are debating going both days.


Anybody else on board.

Do we want to hang on the seawall or go west to public access?

Saturday with the nice weather I think it would be better to stay off the seawall so I am thinking either 8 mile road or the next access down which is 2 more miles.

But I will meet whereever the majority choose.

I want to beat high tide so I plan to be there by 8 am but will be skiing and hanging out past lunch.

Friday look like a wash for me. I broke 2 mounts last Saturday down there. Saturday looks like it is going to be really nice. How about 8 mile road? Does anyone around here have a set of billet couplers they want to sell?

I will check on the couplers when I get home I know I have one side not sure about the motor side.

8 mile road on saturday it is then. It looks like it will be nice enough I will pack the ez up and have a large cooler with ice if anybody wants to throw their drinks in and I will have some extra water.

I don't remember exactly, but it is near there.

go past the old lake on the left where they used to rent PWCs - next traffic light (I think) is 8 mile road.

My son has to work saturday so we are headed down in a few to hit the bigger windblown stuff this afternoon.

Current report is 4 ot 5 ft. Likley to be a washing machine but it will be fun.
