Super Jet Ring gear spinning on my riva flywheel...am I SOL?

As the title says..

couldn't figure out where the squealing was coming from when I tried to start my motor...motor was fine, replaced bendix, replaced starter.. then I put the cold fusion flywheel lock on to torque the flywheel down and with the wrench set at 20lbs the ring started spinning. Awesome..

So do I now have a $450 paper weight?

Press the ring off and take a punch and dimple it all the way around where the ring gear sits. Heat the ring up and put green loctight on the flywheel and put the ring back on. It work for one I did. Also could try drilling and tapping the alumnium and counter sink it so part of the countersink is on the ring gear and put a counter sink screw in. Ive also done that. I'm sure it will throw the balance off in the flywheel tho

If you don't have access to the machines required I would think #ZERO could repair and rebalance for you.

I can knurl the contact surface and pin the ring gear in several locations for a small price.

I had this happen with a Merc 650 outboard
Marinetex held it together for 5+ years then I sold it :biggthumpup:
