Freestyle Riser bars

I have a 2006 Sxr with stock pole and tbm shortened turnplate. I have heard alot about riser bars and want to try them out for cheap. Now I was wondering if there is some kind of adapter plate that will go on the t turnplate so if I don't like them I can sell them and return it to the way it was

Cheers

The only option I know of is the fat bar adapter that Blowsion sells, but I'm not sure if it bolts up to a TBM turn plate or not. It will be kinda weird, since SJ bars mount on top of the plate, and SXR bars mound under the plate, so adding the adapter lowers your mounting point farther under the plate so you need taller bars to get the same effect.

I think you are venturing into custom territory here.

I still don't know why someone just don't offer a clamp for big bars, seems like a no brainer.

I haven't measured, but by the time you take 7/8 bar clamps and open them up, or custom make your own to fit over 1 1/8" bars (to use your current bolt holes), I think you loose either all or a lot of the meat between the bars and the bolts.

I don't know, I'll have to check.

Either way, pretty sure the TBM plate for the SXR only has mounting holes for 'v' bars. No holes for 'straight' bars.

The blowsion phat clamp uses the v-position holes.

Ya, but that was in reference to modifying stock clamps to fit 1 1/8" bars, or even running 7/8 risers. You would NEED the phat clamp to make them work, if it even fits the TBM bolt pattern. I even think the plate has "speed" holes in it so drilling new holes for 7/8 risers isn't even an option.
